Your first visit
A little preparation saves working time
You do not need a perfect plan. A clear list and an accessible work area are a good start.
From enquiry to arrival
Write the list
Number the tasks and put the most important first.
Gather the details
Note sizes, product types, quantities and the wall or floor material.
Agree the work
Check the labour allowance, materials, parking and any return visit.
Get the area ready
Move fragile items and keep packages and instructions together.
Three useful checks
Products
Are all packages, brackets and small fittings present? Keep packaging until the item has been checked.
Access
Tell us about stairs, a lift, a narrow landing or a shared entrance.
Choices
Decide approximate positions and who can approve them during the visit.
Make room around the work
Keep children and pets away from tools and wet materials. Put small valuables elsewhere and tell us about delicate floors. We cover the immediate work area. If a large item must be moved, include that in the agreed scope rather than trying to lift it alone.

Some jobs need time afterwards
Filler and sealant need to dry or cure. This waiting time is not the same as working time. We explain when you can use or decorate the area, and whether a separate visit is needed.
